Though her career in hairdressing began much later, Ashlea grew up thumbing through pages of 80s & 90s hairstyling magazines and sweeping up after haircuts in the Seattle salon of her honorary aunt. In high school she practiced the Gwyneth Paltrow circa 'Emma' updo on friends, and carried that experimentation into her twenties with styling for friends' weddings. Despite having this exposure to and working knowledge of hairstyling, and being surrounded by hairstylists in her close circle of friends and family members, it wasn't until 2015 that she decided to make this lifelong fascination a career. In the 10+ years since, Ashlea graduated cosmetology school with honors, completed an advanced apprenticeship under some of Seattle's top luxury hairstylists and has traveled all over the country to train with world-renowned stylists and brands. in New York at Oribe, Bumble & Bumble, Redken, Keune, Goldwell, and Davines, had the opportunity to guest assist for one of LA’s top haircutting specialists, and is always looking for more education opportunities to further her expertise. For the past few years, Ashlea has been based in Aspen, Colorado and pursued her strong interest in hair extensions to become Aspen’s top extension specialist.
